Draft hoods is critical to the operation of a gas water heaters. It is attached in between the heater’s flue outlet and its vent pipe. When they are properly installed, draft hoods cool the combustion products and allows them to flow safely from the building. They also protect heater operation during updrafts and downdrafts that are caused by indoor/outdoor air pressure differences.
